Sophie Violiniste
Immigrating to Canada from Poland in 1991, Sophie began to study violin at the age of 8 under the instruction of Yuri Zaidenberg. At a young age, she participated in various music competitions including Peel, Kiwanis and Canadian Music Competitions, winning numerous awards. As a young musician, Sophie performed at many major venues, including The Old Mill, The Living Arts Centre in Mississauga, and CBC Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto. For the past five years, Sophie has been entertaining crowds throughout the Greater Toronto Area at numerous venues, including performances at the Liberty Grand Entertainment Centre for the Canada’s Walk of Fame Gala, at the John Bassett Theatre, and at the beautiful Casa Loma, among others. Sophie is skilled with both the acoustic and electric violin in various musical genres, from modern pop to beloved ballads, to showpieces and classics. Book Sophie for your next special event!
